Our History

In 1938 a Canadian prospector and trapper named Blondie Jacques arrived in Alaska. His homestead became a hunting lodge lodge and was the start of Jacques family’s business. The next generation turned from guiding hunters to guiding fishermen. The grandsons continue the family tradition guiding Adventure Travelers, Photographers and Fisherman. Jerry Jacques started guiding and flying full time in the area in 1978. With 39 years/14,000 hours of Alaska bush-flying experience, Jerry holds Alaska Master Guide License #110. and is uniquely qualified to be your host for the best Bear Viewing or Bush Flying Adventure the Last Frontier has to offer.
