Our Guests Review Their Alaska Adventures
President George Bush Sr.
While every precious memory is fresh in my mind , I want to try to tell you both how grateful I am to you for your fantastic hospitality. The food, the fishing and plane rides were awesome.
It was magical. The coastal brown bears of the Katmai spend their summers in the rivers and streams gorging themselves on salmon in preparation for the coming winter. They are so focused on the fish that they did not give us a second glance; even when we set up our tripods in the middle of their stream. The river that we went to is unlike the normal bear viewing sites like Brooks Falls and McNeil River where hundreds of visitors are shepherded by park rangers and restricted in their movements. We were in true wilderness – just the six of us and as many as 16 bears at one time. And, we felt completely safe. In the midst of all this, Art found the time to provide guidance and instruction on how to best capture the experience. In the end, I came away with many images that I am very happy with, and even better memories of an extraordinary experience.
Adventures in Alaska with this crazyawesome crew. A huge thank you to our incredible host the Jacques Family & Alaska Grizzly Safaris as well as The Luminous Endowment For Photographers for this amazing opportunity! Our week in the backcountry shooting bears and learning from Art Wolfe and Gavriel Jecan was truly unforgettable... hoping to see many of you at NANPA in February!

Your hospitality could not have been any better. The care and time you took with each and every guest was outstanding. The fishing was incredible and it was especially impressive to see how well organized you were throughout the days events. We ate like Kings at every meal, thank you for all the time and preparation put forth to insure we had the very best!

Having never been to Alaska before, I did not know what to expect, but you certainly exceeded my expectations. Everyone in our group was impressed with the attentiveness of your staff and the operational efficiency of the equipment. Certainly the variety of fishing is something I had not expected. The food, camaraderie, accomodations and everything else were extraordinary!

Everything about Bristol Bay Sportfishing is absolutely first rate. The lodge is splendid, the food 4 stars, and the overall ambience of all we did was beyond comparison. And then there was the fishing….incredible rainbows and silvers. It would be hard to top this experience and I haven’t even mentioned the bears and other wildlife…
