We will be open for the 2022 season.

We are 100% committed to both our Clients and Staff.

We will be following COVID-19 safety protocols.

As we all know the worldwide pandemic has severely affected people in all walks of life.

Since late January we have been actively working with both state, federal government, and local village elders. Our decision to open the lodge has been made with carful safety consideration.

By following COVID-19 safety protocols we are able to open

Since 1978 our business has endured volcanic eruptions, earth quakes, droughts, floods, recessions, and the no-fly restrictions of 9-11.  We have never failed to fulfill a single contract with our clients and have always made payroll for our staff.  We will continue to provide the trips we have promised to our clients and keep our staff working.

Most of our trips fill up years in advance. 25% of our clients are from overseas, and with international travel restrictions some of our clients simply cannot get to Alaska in 2020. This has created openings during the peak season.

Give us a call as we are offering some very special once in a lifetime deals.

Alaska Wilderness Adventure Lodge

Our lodge is nestled between Katmai National Park, Lake Clark National Park, and Bristol Bay. We are surrounded by 18 million acres of roadless wilderness. The lodge sits on the north shore of majestic Lake Iliamna, Alaska’s largest lake, and the place we call home. Our Bristol Bay watershed has the worlds largest salmon migration with over 23 million salmon returning to spawn every summer.

Our Alaskan style great room provides a cozy atmosphere for guests to enjoy our spectacular lake and mountain views. Guests may relax by the fireplace in our living room or enjoy a game of pool in the recreation room, all the while reminiscing about the day’s adventure while planning tomorrow’s. Our standards are high when it comes to atmosphere and comfort. Our lodge bedrooms and cedar paneled guest cabins are all fully equipped with individual bathrooms and unlimited hot water along with the assurance of privacy and rest after a full day of adventure.

Our exclusive lodge and it’s provided trips are very different than other wilderness lodges. We have 5 dedicated aircraft for the exclusive use of our 10 guests. The combination of float planes, tundra-tire bush planes, and our 14 available boats ensure that no destination is unreachable. Our bush-flying photo safaris will take you over glaciers, active volcanoes, The Valley of 10,000 Smokes, spectacular waterfalls and remote coastline. Coastal brown bears and walrus are our specialties but we frequently see wolves, lynx, moose, beaver, caribou, whales, Dall sheep, seals, fox, sea otters, tundra swan, peregrine falcon, and bald eagles.

Our experienced Alaskan bush pilots and guides will get you where the wildlife is. Guaranteed. We make sure you are not stuck in one or two locations hoping bears and other wildlife will arrive. You will never pay any extra for flying, no matter the location. All of the daily fly-outs and boat trips are included in your trip package. There are no hidden costs!

Our Guests Review Their Alaska Adventures

President George Bush Sr.
While every precious memory is fresh in my mind, I want to try to tell you both how grateful I am to you for your fantastic hospitality. The food, the fishing and plane rides were awesome.

Michael Rainwater
It was magical. The coastal brown bears of the Katmai spend their summers in the rivers and streams gorging themselves on salmon in preparation for the coming winter. They are so focused on the fish that they did not give us a second glance; even when we set up our tripods in the middle of their stream. The river that we went to is unlike the normal bear viewing sites like Brooks Falls and McNeil River where hundreds of visitors are shepherded by park rangers and restricted in their movements. We were in the true wilderness – just the six of us and as many as 16 bears at one time. And, we felt completely safe. In the midst of all this, Art found the time to provide guidance and instruction on how to best capture the experience. In the end, I came away with many images that I am very happy with, and even better memories of an extraordinary experience.

Adventures in Alaska with this crazy-awesome crew. A huge thank you to our incredible host the Jacques Family & Alaska Grizzly Safaris as well as The Luminous Endowment For Photographers for this amazing opportunity! Our week in the backcountry shooting bears and learning from Art Wolfe and Gavriel Jecan was truly unforgettable… hoping to see many of you at NANPA in February!

Drayton Mclane, Jr. (Owner, Houston Astros)
Your hospitality could not have been any better. The care and time you took with each and every guest was outstanding. The fishing was incredible and it was especially impressive to see how well organized you were throughout the day’s events. We ate like Kings at every meal, thank you for all the time and preparation put forth to ensure we had the very best!

Barney Barnett (Vice Chairman, Publix Super Markets Inc.)
Having never been to Alaska before, I did not know what to expect, but you certainly exceeded my expectations. Everyone in our group was impressed with the attentiveness of your staff and the operational efficiency of the equipment. Certainly, the variety of fishing is something I had not expected. The food, camaraderie, accommodations and everything else were extraordinary!

Warren Vander Hill, Ball State University
Everything about Bristol Bay Sportfishing is absolutely first rate. The lodge is splendid, the food 4 stars, and the overall ambiance of all we did was beyond comparison. And then there was the fishing….incredible rainbows and silvers. It would be hard to top this experience and I haven’t even mentioned the bears and other wildlife…
